Fast CD and DVD Duplication

For production volumes less than 1000 pieces and very short turn times, the production methodology of choice is duplication. This process starts with a blank, recordable disc. The contents of the master disc are copied onto one disc at a time in multiple standard CD/DVD recorders. This is more cost effective for short runs because the process does not require the glass master/stamper production process. It is faster because it can go into production immediately, without delay and without waiting in a production queue for a free production line. What about Labeling?

Sure, CD/DVD labels can look very nice and they are simple to make, but they inherently contribute to a lot of quality problems. They can be applied off-center, they can peel up and damage a player, and chemicals in the adhesive can ruin a disc. VTMedia uses advanced, third generation, high-resolution dedicated inkjet equipment. These devices print directly onto the disc itself, at 1600 DPI in full color.
